Easy
- Mainly on level path with good underfoot conditions, can include some rough ground and easy ascents.
- Time 2.5 Hours to 4.5 hours
- Distance 6km to 12 km Ascent Rarely more than 300m

Moderate
- Half- to full-day hikes (3-6 hours) over rolling countryside on most days, occasional steep trails.
- Rough Paths, Boggy more uneven terrain,
- Some steep ascent
- 5 to 6 hours 12 km plus

- Mountain terrain, significant elevation gains and losses
- Underfoot conditions can be rough, uneven, rocky sections, mountain terrain without clear paths
- Full Day 6-7 hours height gain 600 -800 metres Distance 15 to 18 km.

- Not recommended if it’s your first Hike mountainous, steep terrain
- More Suitable for regular Hikers, used to longer distances, with a sustained climb of up to 1000m
- Open moorland mountain plateau rocky ground no clear paths moderate exposure
- Time 6-8 hours Height gain 800 – 1000m Distance 15 km or more
